I’ve been getting these brochures in the mail for Hilton Head rentals. I would love to vacation there one day. It looks so serene and beautiful.
I’m having problems with one of my creditors. They’ve suddenly stopped accepting my payments, actually returning them. It’s all been online, so I’ve been able to print the confirmation of the payment and then the “return payment” and the return payment “fee” stuff off of the internet. It’s insane! I called them yesterday and I spoke to a CSR and 2 supervisors and they are basically refusing anything I send them unless it’s the full amount to bring the account current.
Theoretically that would not be a bad thing, but I do not have $214 spare change sitting around so there’s no way I could send them that.
I’m going to send them a physical check, along with a letter, asking them to accept this payment as a good faith payment. In that letter, I’m going to send them a copy of my budget so they can see where my “disposable” income is.
I’m doing all the right things and I’m doing the next right thing for me. This is their problem. In a way, it is mine, but I’m quite angry that they are doing this to me. I wonder how many other people have had this same problem with them.
