Did you see it? It came rumbling through here, ran me over and kept going like nothing happened! Fucker!

I had a great time at the concert, you can go read about it over on The Soda Stand, if you wish. I won’t repeat it all here.

Whenever I travel, I’m always looking for cheap hotels so I can spend my money on other stuff when I’m there. Ya know? I love to travel and finding cheap, but nice hotels is kind of hard. Especially when you book everything online without seeing the place first. You never know what you’re going to get. For instance, when Miss Monique and I drove cross country, I had reserved two rooms.

One in New Mexico, which was AWESOME! They had pillow top beds, fridges in the rooms and it was very comfy and quiet. However, the one in Tulsa the next night? It had black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and a little out in the main room by the smoke detector. It was just gross. It was in a seedy part of town, we were frightened. We both slept fully clothed and I don’t think we slept all that much. LOL

I’m going to go take some meds so I’m not hurting when I go see Sex and the City today!

I was at work this morning and didn’t have much to do, so I went to ask the Admiral if she had anything for me to do. She gave me a worker’s comp claim that I needed to complete. She let me know she had already entered it into OSHA and the Omni form databases.

I completed it, had a brain fart near the end of it and when I asked her about, I thought she was going to lose her fucking mind. I guess I did something (one of the steps) out of order, yet I completed it and it got done. She freaked out cause I had not done it the way she had shown me. As she was freaking out on me, I asked her to cut me some slack, since I’ve only been here a week and a half, and all she did was drop it on my desk and asked me to complete it.

Now, since this is going to be MY baby, I can technically complete it anyway I want. However, being the new girl on the block, I don’t want to rock the boat just yet. I wrote down WORD FOR WORD how she told me to complete it. And then took my notes to her and asked her to show me if this is correct. I told her I didn’t want to miss one of the steps and wanted to make sure it was right before doing the next one. She reviewed my new notes and said that it was, indeed, the exact way she does it. Step by step by step. *le sigh*

However, it must have really burned her butt and she continued treating me like a dunce for about 4 hours into the shift. She was also cranky cause the Omni form had a few “frozen” cells where we could not change the information (ie: her name to my name, enter the dept. number, etc) So I took the initiative and took it to our computer guy and asked him if it was possible.

He had me show him what I needed and so I did. He then made the changes and magically the form was changed and I can remove her name and put my name in there without having to white it out once it’s printed and use the ancient typewriter to type my name in. LOL Ooopsie. She’s been under the impression (for like 4 years *cough*) that the form could never be changed.

The day DID get better sometime around lunch, when she found out that I could do the Omni form on my computer now, instead of having to have her computer. She gleefully handed over all the worker’s comp and OSHA files to me. LOL

Maybe it was me, maybe it was her, but it was seriously tense the first few hours of our shift. It got better throughout the day and she showed me another duty that I will be doing. This one is EASY and hopefully there is no way for me to do it “out of sync” with the way she showed me. LOL

I kind of think someone needs a colon cleanse

I’ve been obsessed lately with working out. However, given the way my health has been lately, I would not even try it.

I do want to look into starting a workout routine once I’m feeling better and the doctor gets me squared away with whatever is going on. I found some home gyms online that I wouldn’t mind having.

I also found out that my job gets me some discounts at a few local gyms here in the Ville. This is good for when I do have money. Right now, I need to find a way around the money thing.

We have a treadmill upstairs where I work and a weight machine that I am allowed to use. Once I feel better, I just might start using them. There is a full gym down in the basement, but it’s for firefighters only and we are not allowed to use it. *le sigh*

I soaked my nails off last night and then used my hang nail clippers to clip off the remaining acrylic. I didn’t do a great job with it, so some nails have more acrylic remaining than others. And they are very tender. Which is OK, I just wanted to get them off.

I decided I had to make a choice. I was spending $20-30 on getting my nails filled each month and an additional $20 a month for the MLB dot TV package for the Yankees games. One or the other had to go. Being who I am, I had to give up the nails. I’d rather watch the Yankees games everyday than get my nails done every 2 weeks. Ya know? Call me crazy. Whatev.

Yes, my priority is baseball. I may be a girly girl at times, but I can do without my nails until baseball season is over. Seriously.

I’m starting to get excited about this weekend. Only because it is going to be a train wreck on Friday, hanging with mah girls on Saturday and then oogling some firefighters on Sunday. Can’t get much better than that!
